Lightning Strikes Quilt Update

I just wanted to post a quick update on my Lightning Strikes quilt. I haven't been able to work on it as much lately because of my busy work schedule. But, this is a rainy weekend and the family went to Japanfest for the day so I was able to have some sewing time.

This first picture is where I left off in July at my last post:

Here is where I stopped today:

I still have about half the rows to get together, but I am getting there. It is really fun to see the pattern emerging!

Here are some more pictures of the fabric swatches, pattern and how I keep the different widths organized.

This is my inspiration fabric:

I hope to get a little more done today and that will probably be it for this weekend. I have a wedding to attend tomorrow!

Go HERE to see my post from July.

To see more great quilts, head over to Park City Girl and check out the Quilt Festival!

Also, check out Sew and Tell over at amylouwho!

Keep up the beautiful work...

My first thought was "ooohhh" and then "wow" popped in there, and then "she needs to come to my house and get us all organized" and then "no, I think she scares me she's so cool"! LOL

Beautiful quilt. Thanks for sharing with us!

Beautiful colours. I have never done a bragello quilt. When I see all your baskets it looks a little overwhelming! The results are so amazing though! Hope you have a great week...Sherri : )

That is gorgeous! I've always wanted to do a borgello (spelling?) quilt. Maybe I'll start with a mini! Well done. Cannot wait to see your progress.

Your choice of colors is beautiful. My Mom has made 4 lightening strikes, her girl friend has made at least 6. Now Mom is making Haley's comet. It's very similar - but she say's it is a lot easier to put together.
