Work in Progress

Here are pictures of our latest home improvement project. Our kitchen cabinets badly need to be painted. The baked on white enamel finish was beautiful when the cabinets were new, but now they are dingy and the painted is coming off in high use areas. Additionally, I can no longer get them clean with scrubbing. The finish is almost gummy! What is with that? This picture doesn't look bad, but...

up close you can see what I am talking about...

So, we took all the cabinet doors and drawers off and we are sanding and painting them all.
Also, we are replacing the brass pulls with brushed nickel, more contemporary pulls. We also are spray painting the hinges with a brushed nickel paint.

Here is a picture of the new pulls on one drawer. Check back to see the finished project.

Excellent choice in hardware! And I also recently spray-painted something for our bathroom in an oil rubbed bronze finish and it looks amazing! There's no stopping a $4 can of spray paint these days. :) Also, looked at your profile and noticed the Dave Ramsey reference. Sweet!

Love the hardware too! When we did our cabinets a few years ago that was the best part looking at all the choices. Looks like you made a great choice! Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
