Habitat for Humanity Restore

My friend, Lorrie, over at Mommy Stays Home, recently posted a great article on Struggling with Contentment. In this post she shows some of her home renovations and struggles with really wanting to finish other projects, but needed to get out of debt. I suggested to her that she check and see if there are any Habitat for Humanity ReStores in her area.

The Restores carry items that were donated but not used on Habitat builds. It varies on what you can get, but my sister has had good luck with tile.

So go and see if you have a Habitat ReStore in your area. It might be worth a trip.

I have had wonderful luck at our habitat re-store which has been a God send while working on this forced remodel. We even found a BRAND NEW king size headboard that had been donated by a furniture going out of business. It was still in the box and WOO HOO $500 LESS than I would have been asked to pay at the furniture store.

Okay I am saving this website and have already told my pet adoption place about it for their building projects!

I'm so jealous of the King size headboard I have been looking for some furniture for our bedroom and we need King stuff. Awesome find Tamy!

Lisa, I am starting school back in January in Nursing (did you see that coming?) and wanted to see if when and if you have some time to talk with me about any advice and different questions I have about the nursing field I would GREATLY appreciate it.
